PROSPECTS FOR TRAVEL BUSINESS

The representatives of regional branches of the Russian Union of Travel Industry from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Podolsk, Ramenskoye, Serpukhov, Izhevsk, Kaliningrad, Tyumen, and Yaroslavl, from the cities of Karelia, Crimea, and Altai met at a regional meeting of the tourist industry to discuss the prospects for their business.
Olga Ergunova, head of the USUE Department of Tourism Business and Hospitality, took part in the 6th regional meeting of the tourist business, which was held on 4-6 September 2020 in Yekaterinburg. The organizers of the project are the Russian Union of Travel Industry, the Ministry of Investment and Development, and the Center for Tourism Development of the Sverdlovsk Region.  


 
The participants in the meeting discussed the impact of a new coronavirus infection on the travel industry in Russian regions, exchanged experience in adapting companies in the face of restrictions, and discussed the prospects for launching new travel destinations.
 Besides, the participants competed at the Spartakiad and the championship on artistic shaping of dumplings, organized by Yana Starovoitova, director of the USUE School of Service and Hospitality. The meeting ended with a competition of presentations "10 Minutes of Fame", where, in 10 minutes, each team brightly and creatively presented their travel projects.
