First International scientific and practical forum «Housing and communal services and the quality of life in the 21st century: economic models, new technologies and management practices»
Today USUE hosted the forum dedicated to aspects and development of housing and communal services. Within the framework of the forum, there will be a discussion of algorithms of innovative economic models, ideas, solutions and best management practices in the area of housing and communal services. The organizers note that it is a good time to hold the forum as this year the University celebrates its 50th anniversary, November 9 is the World Quality Day, November 10 is the World Science Day, and November 11 is the Economist’s Day. Among the speakers, there are officials of state authorities, education and science, SROs, and housing management companies.
A welcoming speech was delivered by the USUE Rector Yakov Silin, «Problems of housing and communal services affect any inhabitant. At any stage of development of the economy of housing and communal services will be of particular importance.» In his report, the rector emphasized the problem of training highly qualified personnel for the housing and communal services sector and the University’s readiness to solve it. According to Yakov Silin, USUE has been training specialists in the field of services for 50 years.
Deputy Minister of Energy and Utilities of the Sverdlovsk region Andrei Kislitsyn welcomed the participants on behalf of the Government of the Sverdlovsk region and supported the idea to hold the forum annually. «We need professionals. They could not appear out of thin air, they have to be trained,» he concluded. In his report, Andrei Kislitsyn outlined the range of existing problems in the housing sector of the Sverdlovsk region, told about the implementation of projects to improve the quality of services and urged the participants to jointly shape a comfortable urban environment.
During the day, the forum participants will listen to reports of experts and discuss a number of the most important problems of housing and communal services and improvement of the quality of life. The exchange of professional opinions at the international level will be a great step towards the better organization of work and introduction of new technologies.
