PSU will become a new Belarusian partner of USUE

USUE rector Yakov Silin and the rector of Polotsk State University of the Republic of Belarus, Oleg Romanov, arranged for signing a cooperation agreement.

Ural State University of Economics hosted an online meeting between the rector of USUE Yakov Silin and the rector of Polotsk State University of the Republic of Belarus, Oleg Romanov, where the parties discussed the prospects for possible cooperation between the two universities.

 

Introducing the leading economic university of the Urals, Yakov Silin spoke about its history, areas of training, and achievements of the university, including the successful implementation of distance learning, which was becoming more and more relevant under the current conditions of the pandemic.

Yakov Petrovich also mentioned the major events that were annually held at USUE and invited his Belarusian colleagues to participate in the forum Ural as a Driver of Neo-Industrial and Innovative Development of Russia and to take part in the XII Eurasian Economic Youth Forum.

 

After the presentation of universities, the parties discussed areas of possible cooperation, of which the highest priorities at that stage were double degree, academic exchange of students and teachers, the organization of regular joint research-to-practice events and competitions, and carrying out joint studies.

Following the meeting, Yakov Petrovich and Oleg Alexandrovich decided to sign a formal cooperation agreement and develop a roadmap for joint events in the coming year.
