 At the beginning of 1925, one of the first radio sets in the city appeared in the walls of the old building of USUE. Then, a radio hams' group was organized among the students and faculty members of the University. Over time, the group was transformed into one of the first radio stations in the city. It was that radio hams' group and the radio station that became the pioneers in the development of amateur radio in our city.
