To build your career, just enter USUE!

On June 20, the Admissions Committee of Ural State University of Economics started its work. In parallel, 53 USUE Territorial Access Centers accept documents in the cities of the Ural Federal District. This year, there are significant innovations for applicants.

The enrollment campaign - 2022 opened in the presence of USUE Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Teaching Methods and Quality of Training, Dmitry Karkh, and heads and professors of USUE institutes. The head of the USUE Admissions and Pre-University Training Department, Irina Martyanova, greeted the participants of the ceremony:

“We are opening two consulting centers where applicants can get information about our Institutes and areas of training, two centers for acceptance of in-person filed documents, and an operating center for online admission. There is also a zone of the student trade union committee.”

During the first hour of the Admissions Committee’s work, several dozen applicants, including foreign citizens, came to the university to apply for admission to the bachelor’s, specialist’s, master’s, and postgraduate programs, and USUE College.

Amadou Bah applied to the USUE postgraduate school to study International Management. He graduated with a master’s degree from one of the Russian universities and received a bachelor’s degree in his homeland in Guinea. He justifies the choice of USUE with the confidence that studying at our university is interesting and exciting: “I am sure that I will get a high level of knowledge here. From studying at Ural State University of Economics, I expect a good store of knowledge and experience, so that my work in the future would be thoroughly understandable to me.”

Nikita Koptelov graduated from the Institute of Fine Mechanics and Optics in St. Petersburg, one of the leading IT universities in Russia.

Today, he submitted documents to the USUE Institute of Master’s Studies at the Department of Labor Economics and HR Management to learn how to motivate employees, gather a team of like-minded people and professionals, and better understand people.

“I decided to study at the USUE master’s program in Personnel Management. My mother, who received her higher education at Ural State University of Economics, recommended USUE. She said that at your university there are practice -oriented disciplines and experienced teachers. In addition, I notice huge pluses for studying at USUE: Yekaterinburg is my hometown, which means that friends and family will always be here. Also, there is a metro station near the university, which is located almost in the very center of the city. Besides, at the USUE lobby, I saw some stands with booklets informing on where exams are taken, on institutes and their programs, and even saying where the canteen is. One would think these are little things, but this suggests that the university cares about students.”

A graduate of school No. 1 in the city of Aramil, Ksenia Zaitseva, applied to the USUE bachelor’s studies in three areas at once: Economics, Management, and Public Administration. And if she has to choose, she will study Economics: “I believe I can qualify for free tuition. I think this area is closer and more interesting for me. Many of my friends study at USUE. The university is well spoken of and the level of education here is high.”

Yuri Gorbunov graduated from the USUE College in 2015 (with a degree in Banking). When the possibility of distance learning appeared, he decided to enter the bachelor’s program in Personnel Management: “I chose USUE, because everything is already familiar to me here. Teachers are skilled specialists, knowledge is fundamental. You always need to learn!”

Dmitry Lezhnin, chairperson of the trade union at the Ural Electromechanical Plant, received a higher technical education 20 years ago, but this year he decided to continue his studies and start a master’s degree in HR Management at USUE. “Eduard Ivanovich Popov, an expert and adviser at the Sverdlovsk regional Association of Managers and Specialists in Human Resource Management, suggested me the idea of professional development. He said that I would develop soft skills, but I must have basic knowledge, and where can I get it if not at USUE? A team of top-class professionals works here.”

An applicant from Togo Kanaza Hodabalo Kojo, a graduate of the USUE preparatory faculty is geared up to enter master's studies at our university.

“I am an economist with a bachelor’s degree and would like to develop in this area. Our teachers are just wonderful! I have made friends, we enjoy doing creative work together: we learned and sang the Russian anthem at the opening ceremony of the XII Eurasian Economic Youth Forum,” the young man said.

Danil Shestakov, a graduate of school No. 52 (Yekaterinburg), chose the bachelor’s studies in International Management at USUE: “I’ve heard a lot about the high level of the teaching staff and I want to learn from the best! I set myself for master’s courses in the future. Besides, I chose USUE because the university is conveniently located and offers good learning environment. And there are many interesting things for students here: communities, events. I would like to try myself as a volunteer. I haven’t thought about a career yet. It is the tourism sector that attracts me.”

Andrei Salnikov, a resident of Yekaterinburg, after the 9th grade, decided to enter the USUE College in order to take on a student rhythm and start building a career: “After college, I expect to go straight to the university and become a good specialist in my chosen profession. I’m going to study full time and, if possible, to work. I have already chosen the area of training. It is Economics and Accounting. First, I will work as an accountant, finish my studies, and then I will set up a business.”

Yana and Vika Dmitriev, ninth-grade students of school No. 7 in Pervouralsk, plan to enter the USUE College. The girls choose between two areas: “We like both Law and Judicial Administration and Commerce. USUE College has a good reputation, comfortable conditions, so we opted for it. After that we are going to get a higher education, and then we will be more exact to decide on our careers,” Yana Dmitrieva said.

Mohamed Amir, an applicant from Egypt, received a bachelor‘s degree in law at home and then he entered the USUE preparatory faculty to do a master’s degree at our university. “I am going to become a hotel director; there are many of them both in our country and in Russia. There are also many tourists in Yekaterinburg. It is a beautiful and interesting city! Here I can get an excellent education at USUE and valuable experience when I get a job in this area, and I plan to do so,” the young man shared his plans.

A school graduate, Ivan Zaborchuk, chose USUE because many of his friends study here: “All the guys say that it’s very cool here. The teachers are excellent; the attitude towards students is respectful. I like the area of Public Administration and wish to develop further in this sphere. I will be happy to take part in student life: I like sports and there are many sport clubs here to choose from.”

El Azzouzi Abdeladim, an applicant from Morocco, after school decided to get higher education in Russia: “USUE is a very good university, especially in the economic sphere, which attracts me. I haven’t decided where I will work exactly, but excellent education opens many doors.”

Amir Fekry Abdelsalam Abdeldayem, a graduate of the USUE preparatory faculty, came from Egypt to reach the highest level of education at our university: “I am going to enter the postgraduate school, and meanwhile I am selecting an area of training. I am a lawyer, having received bachelor’s and master’s degrees at home and in Dubai. It was good conditions that made me choose USUE. During my studies at the preparatory faculty, I made friends with other students, appreciated the level of teaching, and took part in various university events, for example, the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum. It is a great university, I am glad to choose it!”

Ekaterina Gordeeva graduated from a trade and economic technical school. She enters USUE to improve her professional level of a catering technologist: “I work at a restaurant, so I chose an extramural department to study and build a career at the same time. The university is very and popular and I heard a lot of positive references. I am glad that there is an opportunity to study at such an institution without leaving my place of residence!”

Mohamed Tamer is an applicant from Egypt. He graduated from school in his country, then studied at the USUE preparatory faculty to undertake a bachelor’s degree: “I would like to become a good economist, and then perhaps to open my business. USUE is one of the best universities in Yekaterinburg. Here I made friends with many guys and joined the basketball team.”

An applicant from Algeria Malek Salim studied at the USUE preparatory faculty and is preparing to study for a master’s degree at our university: “I completed my bachelor’s degree course at home, and then decided to continue my studies under the state program, so I chose USUE and came to Yekaterinburg. I want to study IT to become a programmer. If possible, I would not refuse to work in Russia, I enjoy being here.”

Alyona Tugolukova came to study at our university from Perm Krai. The girl graduated from USUE with a bachelor’s degree in World Economy and she is going to enter the master’s program in Economic Security and Risk Management.

“I really like both areas. At first, I was worried that I would have to choose one, but, fortunately, USUE gives you the opportunity to get both! Our teachers are just wonderful: experienced, interesting and strict enough not to let us get too detained from our studies. I will continue to study full time, which means I will not part with an eventful student life: I have entered almost all associations and the student activist group has become my second family! My extracurricular life was painted in bright colors. The dormitory is also cool. I don’t understand why many say they won’t live in it, they are afraid of some inconveniences. Moreover, they deprive themselves of the opportunity to know the guys better, make friends, win support for all occasions,” the applicant said.

Luckson Bontemps from Haiti finished studying as a lawyer, arrived at USUE for the preparatory faculty, and now he has decided to start a master’s degree at our university.

“I want to become an HR manager as working with people is very interesting! I liked USUE, there is a strong teaching team here and, besides, I made friends here,” the young man said.

Jean-Philippe Webert from Haiti also graduated from the USUE preparatory faculty. He appreciated the quality of teaching and organization of the educational process and took an active part in the student life of the university.

“I studied engineering at a university in my homeland and now I’m thinking whether to continue developing in the same direction or to become a master in economics. USUE is a good university, I like to study here,” the young man shared his plans.

Maria Kochetova previously took part in the Victory Day drawing competition organized by USUE, and she attended open days. “I really liked to be here. My mother advised me to enter this university, as USUE provides quality education. I applied for three areas of training: Public Administration, Tourism and Management,” Maria shared her plans.

Ekaterina Karas has known USUE for a long time as she visited open days and attended public lectures. The girl is interested in economics, so she chose Ural State Economic University to enter.  

“I think the teachers here are excellent. Most of all, I am interested in the economics of small and medium-sized businesses. I think this is where I could get the knowledge useful for me to open my business,” Ekaterina said. 

A 9th grade graduate Marina Zakhlystova faced ahard choice: “USUE College offers so many interesting professions! I am torn between Land and Property Relations, Accounting, and Law and Court Administration. Besides, I like commerce. I want to receive higher education in the future and work in the field of economics.”

 

Valeria Kunaeva, a 11th grade graduate, have chosen World Economy and Foreign Economic Activity to pursue a bachelor’s degree at USUE: “I would like to influence the state of the Russian economy, make the life of people better, and become an excellent specialist. USUE is a good university. I became acquainted with it when I took part in the Eurasian summer session of high school students and attended public lectures. I like very much the manner everything is organized here and the work of the Admissions Committee deserves the highest score!”

An eleventh-grade school leaver, Ekaterina Belova, came to enter the USUE College to study commerce.           

“I am making big plans for student life at USUE: I will take part in the local theater studio. I have devoted a lot of time to this cause and I will be glad to continue. I plan to get a higher education in the future, possibly in the IT field, which is also represented at Ural State University of Economics. I have chosen USUE because it offers various areas of training, good conditions and affordable tuition fees. The Admissions Committee works perfectly: they helped me in everything, many thanks to them!” Ekaterina shared her thoughts.

 An applicant from Egypt, Mohamed Zevada, studied Russian for several months at the preparatory faculty of USUE. Now he is preparing to enter our university: “I will study here because I want to become a computer engineer. I have been in Russia only for 4 months, but I speak Russian well enough, so I expect I will study well. This university has an excellent reputation. I like the conditions and convenient location. The university itself is beautiful and the people here are nice: the admissions staff helped me to sort everything out and fill out the application.”

Viktor Safonov, a College graduate, for several years plunged into work, and now is confidently moving towards higher education.       

“I am entering the bachelor’s program in Business Economics and besides I am taking courses of financial director at USUE. This university was recommended by a friend of mine, and I had heard a lot about it. I love economics, and USUE is a specialized, practice-oriented university, so, in general, it is what you need. Even through communication with the Admissions Committee, it is clear that work is well organized here: everyone knows his job.”

An applicant from Kazakhstan Timofei Pchelintsev came to enter the USUE College and chooses between the profession of a banker and a specialist in land and property relations.

“I found information about Ural State University of Economics on the Internet. It was good conditions that attracted me, and besides, it is well located. I have not yet decided where I will build my career - in Russia or in Kazakhstan - but such an education will definitely help me in the future.”

USUE College graduate Artyom Smorkalov is bent on studying for a bachelor’s degree in parallel with her work.

“In the College, I mastered the area of Commerce by Industry and now I’m going to receive a bachelor’s degree in Internet Marketing. I am entering the intra-extramural department and plan to work in parallel with my studies, earning capital to open my own business.”

A USUE College graduate Tatyana Polushkina came to apply for a bachelor’s degree in World Economy. “For two years within the walls of USUE, I got to know everything and made friends, and besides, I found an area of training that is really interesting to me! I am looking forward to the opportunity to study and improve my level of English, because in the future I would like to work in a field where this will be highly valued,” Tatyana shared her plans.

A graduate of the Yekaterinburg College of Economics and Technologies Ksenia Pakhomova already works in the IT field and came to Ural State University of Economics to get a higher education in Applied Informatics. “I wish to grow professionally. It is also important for me to combine study and work as conveniently as possible, and USUE is well located and provides a good level of training,” the applicant noted.

A USUE graduate, Alena Verbenskaya, said that she received a bachelor’s degree majoring in Business Economics, and now she is entering the HR Management program. The girl was motivated to do the masters by her love for new knowledge: “I want to study further; I am interested in a new area. I would like to build a career in science and maybe even teach at USUE.”

Volunteers from among the students and teachers of USUE will advise applicants throughout the entire period of the enrollment campaign, accept and enter documents into the Unified Identification and Authentication System (ESIA), respond to online and telephone requests. Opening hours of the Admissions Committee are on weekdays from 9 to 17 o’clock, on Saturday until 13:00. Today, Ural State University of Economics started accepting documents from those wishing to study at our university. Only during the first hour of work, dozens of prospective students submitted their applications!
