Why do applicants choose USUE? They will tell you about it themselves.

A native of Yekaterinburg, Vera Solovyova has lived in St. Petersburg for the last few years. There she graduated from school. She pursues an active lifestyle: she practices dancing and already works part-time in the beauty industry. Vera aims to get a higher education at the Institute of Economics and Finance of Ural State University of Economics.

“Like most applicants, I applied to several universities. Véry often Ural school graduates leave Yekaterinburg to get an education at universities in the capital, but I decided to do differently. I am interested in the Accounting, Analysis and Audit program at USUE. When at school, I attended the class with intensive economics training. I liked economics. In the future, I want to have a prestigious job and a high income.”

Sofia Khodzhaeva is from Nizhny Tagil. Five years ago, the girl moved to Yekaterinburg and graduated from college. She is a primary school teacher by training. But she is called not to teaching, but organizing events: Sofia applied for the Event Service program. She plans to study on an extramural basis.

“USUE is located in the city center. Many people know about it. When I was looking for information about universities, I found out that USUE is on the list of the best universities in the Sverdlovsk region. And this became a significant factor for me when choosing an educational institution. I want to become a specialist in event services in order to organize large events, as this is interesting to me.”

Mohammed Saleh Abed Rabu is a native of Mauritania. In his free time, the young man enjoys computer games and watches news to keep up to date with events. A year ago, he moved to Russia to study Russian and get a higher education. He applies to a bachelor’s degree in Informatics and Computer Science. “I have friends who study at USUE. They tell me about the high level of education at this university, about competent teachers and great opportunities for developing skills. In the future, I would like to become a successful programmer at a large IT company,” Mohamed shares his plans.

Vyacheslav Pylaev, an operator of computer-controlled machines at Uralvagonzavod, writes programs for equipment and prepares it for operation. Having a secondary vocational education as a programmer, Vyacheslav decided to get a higher education in applied computer science at USUE, since here there is an opportunity to undergo training under a shortened program and master a promising profession. He chose the mixed attendance mode. “I studied at the USUE branch in Nizhny Tagil. There, they suggested I study further. I thought about this proposal for a long time. And now, when I am 31 years old, I think this is the right moment to realize my plans.”

Fyodor Gurin came to submit documents to USUE from Bratsk, Irkutsk region. The young man is interested in web design, draws illustrations and posters using graphic editors. He applies for the Business Security and Risk Management area of training in mixed attendance mode. “I would like to build a career in economics because I like it most of all. I plan to major in economic security, because this area is promising and now in demand. On the advice of a friend who studies here, I am submitting documents to USUE. The most important thing I want is to gain new emotions and knowledge.”

Yulia Kuzminykh graduated from college this year with honors and is already working as an operational service manager at a bank. However, she plans to get a higher education in a completely different field. “I’m enrolling to USUE for the Marketing and Advertising in a mixed attendance mode of study. When I was in college, we were taught the basics of marketing. And it was so interesting that I chose this area. My plans for the future are to pass the entrance exams well. I am applying to this university on the advice of my friend. She studied here and said that this is a great place for those who want to work and study at the same time.”

This year, a graduate of one of the colleges in Yekaterinburg, Diana Galkina, is entering a correspondence course in the field of “Economics of Enterprises and Organizations.” She does this not alone, but with friends.

“I thought for a long time about where to go to get a higher education. I chose this direction because it is popular and in demand. In addition to going to university, I am currently taking courses in business analytics. This will certainly help in my profession. In the future, I see myself as a successful employee of a large organization. My dad owns a company that works in the construction industry. In the future, perhaps I will help him."

Gennady Kasperovich came from the city of Kostanay (Kazakhstan). The young man is determined to enroll in the Information Security major.

“I have been interested in computer science all my life, studied programming languages, so I chose a field related to the IT field. I like Yekaterinburg, many of my friends live here. They speak well of the university, and on their recommendation I decided to enroll at USUE. I believe that I can get a quality education here. I am ready to “gnaw the granite of science” in order to successfully graduate from university and become a sought-after and highly qualified specialist.”

Ekaterinburg resident Ekaterina Grobleva is 18 years old. And despite her young age, the girl is already working. In the catering industry.

Back in 9th grade, Katya started thinking about what she wanted to become. She watched various videos about professions and eventually chose HR. Now he is entering USUE for full-time study in the field of “Human Resources Management”: “I love my city, I don’t want to leave. I chose USUE for a reason - my mother studied here, she is a specialist in commercial activities. I chose this university without hesitation. Moreover, I am interested in the HR field, and the university provides such a program. I believe that an HR specialist should be a creative and systematic person. He needs to interest and captivate the staff in order to increase the efficiency of the enterprise's employees. It is also important that such a specialist can unite the team and eliminate conflicts. I have always liked organizing people, holding various competitions, and being a presenter, so I hope that my hobbies will be useful in my studies. I expect new acquaintances from student life, I hope that among my peers there will be individuals with similar values, and, of course, I look forward to bright, creative activities.”

Several years ago, Yulia Pudova graduated from college with a degree in fire safety, but works in the human resources department as a personnel management specialist. The girl likes her work and intends to develop in the HR field:

“I was looking for a university where I could study part-time or part-time using distance learning technologies. This is exactly the format offered by the Ural State Economic University. I applied to the bachelor’s program in “Human Resources Management” because I want to become a professional!”

Ali Zeeshan and Sufyan Muhammad came to us from Pakistan. Now both are enrolling in a bachelor’s degree, they are interested in “International Management”.

“We chose USUE because it has a program in English that is suitable for us. It is very comfortable. This university was also recommended to us by our friends who studied here. After graduating from university, we plan to stay in Russia and find work here to engage in foreign economic activity.”

A native of Orsk (Orenburg region), Denis Saraev has been living in the Sverdlovsk region for one year. In 2021, he graduated from technical school and studied “Installation and technical operation of industrial equipment.” He works in his specialty, does not think about changing his profession, and intends to develop in his own.

“I decided to get a higher education at USUE in order to become a specialist in my profession. My girlfriend graduated from this university this year and advised me to apply here. For higher education I am only considering the Ural State Economic University. I need knowledge that can be useful in my professional activities.”

Victor Dozmarov sees himself as an entrepreneur in the future. He graduated from the Radio Engineering College in Yekaterinburg. Now he is applying to a bachelor’s degree in “Management”, choosing the “Small Business Management” program. Studying will be part-time.

“I decided to develop my own small production of rubber coatings and therefore chose the Ural State Economic University for higher education, since I am completely satisfied with the forms and training programs offered. The university was recommended by my friends who study here.”

Angelina Lapina is from the city of Irbit, Sverdlovsk region. The girl was educated at a medical college and became a pharmacist. However, work in her specialty did not live up to her expectations. Since childhood, Angelina wanted to serve in law enforcement and now decided to fulfill her dream. She is enrolling in a part-time undergraduate program in Law Enforcement and Human Rights Activities.

“My dad used to work in the police, I want to follow in his footsteps and finally fulfill my old dream. I have many friends who graduated from USUE or are just planning to enter here. I heard only good reviews from everyone, so I decided to apply here myself. Here I want to make new friends and acquaintances and, of course, become a professional.”

Igor Kalentyev is a 2024 graduate of USUE. He hasn’t received his diploma yet, but he knows for sure that he will enroll in the master’s program at the Ural State Economic University. For this I chose “Digital Business Analytics”.

“I will enroll at USUE again without hesitation. There is already a familiar atmosphere here, familiar walls, teachers. “Digital business analytics” is more relevant than ever; now everything is going digital. After graduating from university, such specialists will be needed, if in every, then in many organizations. I am sure that it is at USUE that I will receive all the necessary knowledge to become a professional in this field.”

Ezeogen Miracle Egbedi has big plans. The girl came from Nigeria and plans to study the USUE Institute of Master's Program "International Business" in order to become an entrepreneur in the future.

“My friends recommended USUE. Here I took preparatory courses for foreign citizens in Russian and I know for sure that there is an excellent education system here. Now I have an English exam ahead, because I want to enroll in the International Business program, which will be conducted in this language,” says Ezeogen Miracle.
