Representatives of Sri Lanka University will visit the Urals

USUE Vice-Rector for Social Work and Youth Policy, Roman Krasnov, is now on a working visit to the capital of Sri Lanka - Colombo.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura  (USJ), Shirantha Heenkenda.

 “At the meeting, we discussed cooperation and interaction between our universities. Today, we agreed to continue working within the student exchange programs and within scientific cooperation,” Roman Krasnov said. “It is safe to say that an appropriate agreement will be signed between Ural State University of Economics and the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in the near future.”

In addition, the parties agreed that a delegation from Sri Lanka would pay a return visit to Yekaterinburg, including in the course of the XIV Eurasian Economic Youth Forum, which USUE will host next spring.

The University of Sri Jayewardenepura is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in Sri Lanka. It was founded in 1873 as a private college and by the second half of the 20th century, it was awarded the status of a university. Today, the university has the faculties of economics, history, linguistics, information technologies, philosophy, and over ten other educational units. Currently, USJ is home to 18,000 students.

An agreement between USUE and USJ is being prepared for signing
