The conference was held within the framework of the recently signed cooperation agreement between USUE and UWED. In their welcoming speeches, USUE Rector Yakov Silin and UWED Rector Komiljon Karimov emphasized the dynamism of the first steps made. The heads of the universities noted that the cooperation did not remain “ink on paper" but had taken a practical turn, which benefits both universities. This is proved by the discussion of distance training caused by the coronavirus pandemic as this issue being important and roughly the same for both parties.

The conference was attended by heads of universities, institutes, departments, associate professors, professors, and doctoral students of USUE and UWED.
