Roman Krasnov, Vice-Rector for Social Work and Youth Policy at USUE, participated in the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference "Academic Dialogue. Russia – Latin America," which took place on September 29, 2025, at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation (Moscow).

In his report, Roman Krasnov presented USUE's current achievements and strategic projects in developing cooperation with universities in Latin America. He detailed the partnership with two key universities: the Alas Peruanas University (UAP, Peru) and the Luis Valdés Torres Esmiráldez University (Ecuador).
The Vice-Rector emphasized the high effectiveness of USUE's international activities: according to monitoring by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, the university's international performance indicator for the 2024-2025 academic year was 18.36%, with a minimum threshold of 3.00. That same year, USUE enrolled 3,568 students from 69 countries, including nine from Colombia, Peru, Cuba, and Ecuador.
The central element of the presentation was a presentation on the university's key strategic project, the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum (EEYF). It was noted that since 2023, over 51,000 people from more than 116 countries have participated in the Forum. Held under the auspices of leading ministries and agencies, the Forum has become one of the largest youth platforms in the country.

"For us, the EEYF is an effective tool for dialogue with Latin America," noted Roman Krasnov. "In 2025 alone, approximately 200 students from the region participated in its events. We are proud that the Forum attracts such attention from the diplomatic corps: over the years, ambassadors from Peru, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Mexico, Uruguay, Cuba, Colombia, and other countries have participated."
The report focused on USUE's successful experience in establishing a Russian Language Center in Sri Lanka. This project was presented as an effective model for promoting Russian education abroad, which could be adapted to strengthen the university's position in the Latin American region.
In conclusion, the Vice-Rector spoke about new initiatives that strengthen cultural bridges, such as the permanent exhibition of books donated by the embassies of Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Bolivia, which will be on display at the university starting in 2024.
The conference agenda focused on the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Latin American countries in higher education and science. Participants discussed prospects for research integration, academic mobility, and the exchange of expert opinions for the development of society and the reproduction of human capital.
The forum was attended by senior representatives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, senators of the Federation Council, deputies of the State Duma, heads of diplomatic missions from Latin American countries, as well as rectors and experts from leading educational and scientific organizations in both countries.
