CARING ABOUT USUE VETERANS

During the period of self-isolation associated with measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, USUE prepared food gift baskets for veterans and its employees of retirement age.

April 22, two teams of employees of the USUE Department for Youth Policy and Social Work dressed in protective clothing, visited elderly people at home, who, as you know, are not recommended to leave their homes during the pandemic.

The veterans received weighty packages consisting of essential products. The transfer of packets of rice, buckwheat, sausage, food tins, eggs, vegetable oil, tea, and other necessary products was carried out in compliance with safety precautions. Especially for this action, the employees were provided with jackets, facemasks, gloves, shoe covers, and sanitizers.

In response, the volunteers received a lot of positive emotions and thanks for their care and courage. The veterans did not conceal their satisfaction, wished visitors good health, and noted that the food products they brought were quite suitable for the occasion.

The action aimed at relieving the stay at home during the ongoing lockdown is certainly important. By May 9, they are going to repeat similar actions added with holiday greetings.
