The Middle Ural should not be a mono-industrial region

During the sixth Ural Economic Forum, the President of the Free Economic Society of Russia, Director of the S.Yu. Witte Institute of New Industrial Development, Sergey Bodrunov, spoke about the role of noonomics in achieving the national development goals of the country, the contribution of the Free Economic Society to the shaping of economic education and the importance of the Middle Ural for the socio-economic development of Russia. The expert emphasized the significance of industrial development of society, the need to create appropriate institutions and train qualified personnel.

At the expert session, the founder of the theory of noonomics, Sergey Bodrunov, spoke about the contribution of the concept to achieving the national development goals of Russia. According to the USUE honorary professor, it is science that will help overcome the crisis in which modern society finds itself.

“The practical significance of noonomics is great. The theory implies the priority of industrial development, importance of education, technologies’ development, and creation of new public institutions. Even today, we must lay the foundations for things that will allow our children and grandchildren to have what they will need for development in the future,” Sergey Bodrunov emphasized.

The Free Economic Society is actively involved in the economic education of younger generation. According to the President of the VEO of Russia, there are no analogues of such public institution in the world.

“Thanks to regional branches, we can cover almost all territories of the country. The largest event organized by the VEO of Russia is the Economic Dictation. Yesterday, October 15, it was written in all corners of the Russian Federation. The main regional platform in Yekaterinburg was our reliable partner - Ural State University of Economics,” Sergey Bodrunov said.

Speaking about the importance of the Middle Ural for the socio-economic development of Russia, Professor Bodrunov stated that the Sverdlovsk region could become a center of economic and industrial power, a center of new generation technologies and industry.

“The Middle Ural has great potential, so it should not turn into a mono-industrial region. They should develop here other areas such as culture and tourism. The territory should become a place of attraction for workforce and set a large educational center. These are things we cannot do without if we want to build Russia where people will feel equally good in Moscow and Salda,” the President of VEO of Russia says.

Meeting with media, Sergey Bodrunov drew attention to the possibilities of today’s remote technologies and Internet. For example, today, one can go sightseeing over Russia or visit the largest museums in the world, not leaving home. This is, among other things, the goal of noonomics, which today is capturing more and more new areas thanks to events such as the Ural Economic Forum.
