Warm meetings

 USUE Rector held working meetings in Sochi.

March 21, during a working trip USUE Rector Yakov Silin met with the Acting Rector of Sochi State University Igor Gaidamashko.

The rectors discussed issues of comprehensive cooperation between universities, including the development of business education programs in sustainable tourism economics. For over fifty years, USUE has been preparing specialists for domestic, inbound and outbound tourism, hoteliers and restaurants - personnel who can realize themselves in Sochi and the Krasnodar Krai in the best way. Already working specialists can improve their skills at the USUE Institute of Extended Education without leaving the territory of residence (training through distance technologies). Besides, Yakov Petrovich and Igor Vyacheslavovich spoke about implementing joint research and youth projects. SSU students received an invitation to take part in the XIII EEYF competition program.

On the same day, a working meeting was held between USUE Rector Yakov Silin and director of Subtropical Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FRC SSC of RAS), Aleksei Ryndin, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences.

The scientists visited the Botanical Garden - Museum “Tree Friendship”, which is a scientific department of FRC SSC of RAS and at the same time an artifact of the history of science. The meeting was held in an informal atmosphere, full of face-to-face contacts and exchange of views with the staff of the Botanical Garden, including on joint scientific projects and research. USUE Rector signed the Visitors’ Book.
