He does not grieve who is friends with science

Ural State University of Economics for the second year in a row becomes the winner of the competition for grants from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia to support student research societies. Today, an honorary diploma in the name of USUE rector Yakov Silin arrived at our university.

The project was prepared by the USUE Student Research Society. Young scientists will help junior students - members of the scientific communities of various universities in Yekaterinburg - join the scientific environment.

“We started out from the problem that any field-specific university faces: the limited scientific knowledge in one particular industry,” Victor Blaginin, scientific supervisor of the study, head of the USUE Department of Scientometrics, Research and Rankings, said. “My colleagues and I will create conditions so that students can do science at the interfaces of several disciplines.”

The USUE Student Research Society will invite students-members of the SRS of several universities to take part in the project: Agrarian, Pedagogical, Mining, and Railway Transport Universities. They will be teamed, so that each has representatives of different higher educational institutions. It will be a complex team in which someone knows how to build logistics, someone can calculate the economic feasibility, someone will help choose management practices. The task is to undertake a scientific study (the topic will be chosen by the team), in which the knowledge of each of the participants will be useful.

At the beginning of the academic year, the project participants will first go through a series of scientific workshops, and then, divided into groups, will present their scientific works to the competition commission, which will include representatives of several Ural universities. The best papers will be published in cited scientific journals.

The project presented by the young scientists of USUE became one of 40 winners of the federal competition. A total of 273 applications were submitted from 76 regions of the Russian Federation.
