They play their own game

In 2023, over 300 children and adolescents will become participants in the Congress of Schoolchildren at the XIII EEYF.

USUE specialists, together with the Foundation for the Support of Talented Children and Youth “Golden Section”, prepared two formats of activities for them. The first is the international intellectual and entertaining game “Intellect of Eurasia” and the second is the international competition of research papers and projects “Debut in Science”.

The participants will pass the first stage of the game individually through Internet testing. In 45 minutes, everyone should give the maximum number of correct answers. The 30 best brains with the most points will enter the final, where six teams of five members will compete in the “Own Game” (analogue of “Jeopardy!” mind game). Participants will choose the topics and the “cost” of questions. For a correct answer, the jury will award points in proportion to the complexity of the question and for an incorrect one they will take points off. Therefore, the ability to think strategically is as important for victory as a broad-based knowledge.

The “Debut in Science” competition is designed to arouse children’s interest in fundamental and applied disciplines and includes two nominations: “Pupils in 1-7 grades” and “Pupils in 8-11 grades”. According to the age of the participants, the jury will evaluate the depth of the study, its relevance, and the ability to work with the audience.

The participants in this Congress will be children from Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The contestants who achieve the highest scores in the game and their project defense will receive certificates of winners and gifts from the organizers. Besides, Congress participants, school leavers - 2023, upon admission to USUE, will be credited with additional points for the Unified State Examination: 5 points - to the winners of the competitions, 2 points - to all the rest.

The final stage of all competitions and Congresses will be held from April 24 to April 28 at USUE.
