SCIENTISTS DISCUSSED THE IMPORTANCE OF HEALTHY FOOD FOR MAN

The 7th research-to-practice conference "Innovative technologies in food industry and public catering" was held on October 12 at Ural State University of Economics.

In his welcoming speech, USUE  rector Yakov Silin  called the issues related to innovations in food industry and brought up to the conference the most urgent. The rector emphasized the importance of these areas of science in the context of the Sverdlovsk region.
 
In their reports, the speakers addressed the matters of quality, competitiveness, and safety of food raw materials and food products and examined the problems of training personnel for food industry and public catering. The researchers presented to their colleagues innovative technologies in the field of food processing and production, not putting aside the issues of engineering and information technologies in food industry, trade, and public catering. More than ten reports at the conference were delivered by scientists from Ural State University of Economics.
