USUE EXPANDS COOPERATION WITH KYRGYZ UNIVERSITIES

Yakov Silin, rector of Ural State University of Economics held an online meeting with Almaz Kadyraliev, rector of M. Ryskulbekov Kyrgyz Economic University, and discussed the prospects for cooperation between the two universities.

The participants were USUE Vice-Rector for Social Work, Roman Krasnov, USUE Vice-Rector for Extended Education and Career Guidance, Elena Knyazeva, Director of the USUE Institute of Master’s Studies, Alla Matveyeva, and Director of the USUE Institute of Continuous and Distance Education, Ekaterina Yalunina.

The universities' leaders summed up the results of international cooperation in 2020, which was recognized as the cross-year of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, especially in education and research. They expressed the hope that the initiatives launched in 2020 would go on in 2021. Today, USUE has five valid agreements with universities of the Kyrgyz Republic. Yakov Silin noted that it was necessary to continue joint research and educational activities, as well as widen the circle of Kyrgyz partners.

Almaz Kadyraliev expressed interest in interacting with USUE on double degree programs, teaching staff academic exchange and mobility, organization of joint scientific events and publications. Following the online meeting, the parties agreed to develop a roadmap of joint projects for the next year, which would lay the foundation for an official document on cooperation. The document may be signed at the XI Eurasian Economic Youth Forum to be held at USUE from April 20 to 23.
