USUE may expand cooperation with universities of foreign countries

As part of his working visit to Moscow, Vice-Rector for Social Work of Ural State University of Economics, Roman Krasnov, held a series of business meetings dedicated to the development and strengthening of cooperation between USUE and foreign universities. In particular, Roman Valerievich met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Colombia to the Russian Federation, Alfonso Lopez Caballero, and with the President of the Association of International Students (AIS) of Russia, Sharma Vishal.

During the meeting, Mr. Caballero fondly remembered the last Eurasian Economic Youth Forum as the principal platform for communication between students and young scientists from all over the world, which he visited in 2021. The ambassador also initiated the development of partnerships between USUE and Colombian universities. One of them may be the oldest in the Republic - the National University of Colombia, located in Bogota. The parties discussed possible areas for cooperation: it can be an exchange of students and teachers, joint participation in scientific research and conferences, publication of articles, and much more.

During the meeting with the President of the Association of International students of Russia, Sharma Vishal, the main attention was paid to the issues of entering the territory of Russia, adaptation, accommodation, and training of USUE students - citizens of foreign states.

Today, at the leading economic institution of Urals, more than 1100 students from 52 countries study for Bachelor's and Master's degrees.

Let us recall that the Ural branch of AIS is based at Ural State University of Economics and, in February 2022, will celebrate its 10th anniversary.
