USUE at an important strategic event on the development of higher education in the Russian Federation

The event focused on discussing a new regulatory framework for the higher education system.

On October 2 and 3, the UrFU Campus hosted a regional meeting titled “National Higher Education System: New Regulatory Framework”. USUE representatives participating in that large-scale forum were Rector Yakov Silin, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Teaching Methods and Quality of Training, Dmitry Karkh, and head of the Department of Labor Economics and HR Management, Svetlana Dolzhenko.

The first day’s program was rich: participants listened to expert presentations of university rectors taking part in pilot projects and held a group session. This group discussion highlighted the key challenges and barriers facing Russia’s higher education system today and outlined possible ways to overcome them.

The key event of the forum was the plenary session on the second day, attended by RF Minister of Science and Higher Education, Valery Falkov. His visit underscored the event’s significance for shaping education policy in the country.

The participation of the USUE delegation in such a prestigious forum confirms the university’s active role in the transformation of higher education and its involvement in addressing strategic issues at the federal level.
