USUE IMPROVED ITS POSITION IN THE INTERFAX NATIONAL RANKING OF UNIVERSITIES
Ural State University of Economics enters the top-5 best universities in the Ural Federal District and ranks second in the Sverdlovsk region.
USUE maintains these positions for the third year in a row while improving results in various categories of the ranking according to Interfax International Information Group.
At the end of the 2019-2020 academic year, USUE holds 180-182 positions in the consolidated ranking, which is higher than 2019 results (183rd place). The improvement of USUE positions occurred in three categories: social environment (climbing from 198-199 to 109-110 positions), international cooperation (from 110-113 to 110), and innovation (from 278-280 to 273-278).
In 2020, the National Ranking of Universities (NRU) expanded the list of participants: it assessed the activities of 337 universities, institutes, and research centers of the Russian Federation, which is 10 participants more than last year.
The objectives of the annual NRU research is to assess the activities of a modern university that meets the best world standards; development of a communication channel between the academic community and mass audiences; the search for new methods and technologies for assessing the activities of institutions in the field of education, R&D, innovative and social development.
