USUE is among the best universities in Russia

USUE entered the list of 50 best Russian universities training students in Public Administration.

The research was carried out by the Interfax Group with the methodological support of the Public Administration section of the Federal Academic Methodological Association for Economics and Management area of training. To get into the ranking, a university must have at least one state-accredited educational program of public administration. The educational program should be run in a higher educational institution at least for five years. In addition, teachers need to publish at least one article on the social sciences in international journals and at least ten in journals listed by the Higher Attestation Commission of Russia, including the Journal of the New Economy of Ural State University of Economics. Such articles should have been published within the last three years. 

Universities were evaluated by the number of profiles of educational programs implemented, the number of publications, and the frequency of their citations. Besides, the analysis criteria included the share of graduates trained under Public Administration programs who received diplomas cum laude in 2020 and 2021.

The ranking leader is the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. Ural State University of Economics scored 244 points and took 47th place.
The Institute of Public Administration has been operating at USUE since 2008. At this institute, civil servants and deputies undergo professional training in economic - administrative and economic - sociological areas. The Institute has seven departments: Department of Labor Economics and HR Management, Department of Competition Law and Antimonopoly Regulation, Department of Constitutional and International Law, Department of Public Administration, Department of Civil Law, Department of Business Law, and Department of Public Law. The Institute graduates enjoy high demand on the labor market.
