A USUE student became a prizewinner of the World Youth Festival Alumni Global Congress, which took place in Moscow. Ural State University of Economics was represented by a second-year student of the USUE Institute of Continuous and Distance Education Hyatt Seyaedi. He took second place.

The Congress took place at MGIMO University. Its participants learned about the prospects of work in Russia. WYF alumni took part in roundtables, lectures and discussions on five thematic tracks: Education and Career, Neurotechnology and Artificial Intelligence, Student Entrepreneurship, New Media Laboratory, and Youth International Diplomacy. USUE student from Afghanistan Hyatt Seyaedi took 2nd place on the track New Media Laboratory, “Leaders of the Future” nomination.

“In this group, I was the only participant representing another country, which made my contribution especially valuable. I could deliver a presentation as a speaker on the use of multimedia to promote ideas and businesses. One of the key projects I had presented was the idea of establishing a reliable banking system that could ensure the security of financial transactions despite international disagreements. They highly appreciated this concept, and the Congress awarded me an honorary diploma—its highest award,” Hyatt Seyaedi said.

It was the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, who awarded the winners of the Congress. She thanked the contestants for their interest in Russia: “I am truly proud and grateful that you care about our country’s position, that you are ready to hear us, listen to us and tell your peers abroad about our approaches, about what you see here, about who you communicate with here.”

150 Russian and international students from 44 countries studying in Russia attended WYF Alumni. In March 2024, they became participants of the WYF-2024. The primary goal of the event is the integration of young people into the sphere of employment and professional growth.

The Congress was organized by the World Youth Festival Directorate, MGIMO University, People’s Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) supported by Rosmolodezh, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.
