From September 11 to 17, Yekaterinburg is hosting the International Youth Festival. Representatives from Ural State University of Economics (USUE) have joined the large-scale event as active participants, moderators, and children's group counselors.

The massive event has brought together around 10,000 young people from 191 countries under the motto “Follow Your Dream. Together with Russia.” USUE is being represented at this international platform by Saidi Hayatullah (Afghanistan), a student at the Institute of Continuous and Distance Education, Abdelali Skouri (Morocco), a student at the Preparatory Faculty for Foreign Citizens, and Anastasia Shavkunova, chair of the USUE Student Trade Union Organization.
A rich and engaging program has been prepared for the festival guests, featuring open sessions, panel discussions with experts, hands-on workshops, a food festival, sports events, live concerts, movie screenings, volunteering activities, guided tours, and exhibitions.

Natalya Gromova, Deputy Director of the USUE Institute of State and Municipal Administration, and Law, participated in a meeting held as part of the federal project “The Meaning Creators' Club: Workshop on Education and Mentorship.” This initiative is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of the relevant agency, attended the event as a guest of honor.
The participants focused on burning issues of improving the effectiveness of educational work and engaging young people in projects that contribute to the implementation of state youth policy. They also discussed practices for introducing modern methods of interacting with students and fostering their conscious civic position through traditional value-based benchmarks.

University representatives are also actively involved in organizing festival events, particularly in working with children’s audiences. Young university specialists Anastasia Bondareva and Artem Afanasyev, Master’s student Aidar Bayev, and USUE alumnus Efim Alexandrov serve as moderators for the children's program. And Ekaterina Voznyuk, a student at the Institute of Management, Entrepreneurship, and Engineering, has taken on the role of a group counselor for the children’s activities. Additionally, USUE students participated in recording a special video message for the festival guests.

The event is held in accordance with the directive of Russian President Vladimir Putin to preserve and develop the legacy of the World Youth Festival. The International Youth Festival is implemented as part of the “Youth and Children” national project. The festival is organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) and the Government of the Sverdlovsk region. The event operator is the World Youth Festival Directorate, and the children's program is organized by the “Dvizhenie Pervykh” (Movement of the First) youth movement.
