IN THE INTERESTS OF YOUTH: USUE EXTENDS COOPERATION WITH UNIVERSITIES OF UZBEKISTAN
USUE rector Yakov Silin participates in the International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM held in Tashkent and carries on negotiations with universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The large-scale event brought together the representatives of the real economy, including 300 Russian companies, heads of regions of the two countries, executives of government agencies and local authorities, business associations, development institutions, and mass media. As part of the event, a strategic session was held with the participation of the Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Denis Manturov, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sardor Umurzakov. According to USUE rector Yakov Silin, participation in such events as INNOPROM Russia-Uzbekistan allows the University to resume "live" interaction with colleagues from other regions and countries as well as to provide communication with practitioners of the real sector of economy and industry!
On the first day of his visit to Tashkent, Yakov Silin met with the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Uzbekistan, Mikhail Vozhdaev. The contacts of USUE with the universities of Uzbekistan are extending from year to year. This cooperation takes place in the interests of the youth of both countries. The parties discussed issues concerning the development of education of the Republic of Uzbekistan in such areas as international student exchange programs, internships, and a double degree program. Mikhail Vozhdaev highly appreciated the activities of USUE in training specialists for Uzbekistan and stressed the importance of sharing experiences and best training practices of the two countries and certain universities.
Together with the Tashkent State University of Economics, USUE implements a special double degree program under which students study their majors in two universities and receive two diplomas of higher education, respectively. The training can take place either in parallel at both universities or sequentially.
