Ural State University of Economics maintained its position in the BRICS International University Rankings, entering the 401-450 group. The ranking includes 750 universities from 20 countries.

In total, 169 Russian universities are represented in the ranking with only three universities from the Sverdlovsk region - USUE, UrFU, and USMU.
The ranking assesses 17 criteria, including the number of university student wins in international student Olympiads, the proportion of international students in the total student body, the university budget-to-student ratio, the ratio of academic staff to student body, and the total number of university website pages indexed by leading search engines. The ranking is based on objective, verifiable indicators and does not include subjective expert assessments.

In 2025, the ranking includes 750 universities from BRICS countries and partner countries, including Russia, Brazil, India, China, South Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, and others.
The inclusion of Ural State University of Economics in this ranking confirms the high level of education the university provides and its significance in the international educational space.
