Today, as part of the 17th All-Russia Forum “Legal Week in the Urals,” Ural State University of Economics hosted a plenary session of a large-scale conference dedicated to the challenges of economy sovereignization.

Director of the USUE Institute of Public Administration and Law, Alexander Kurdumov, PhD in Economics, associate professor, welcomed the participants. He outlined the key challenge facing the scientific and expert community: “In this case, we must focus on finding new tools and mechanisms that will improve people’s living standard, contribute to the growth of national prosperity, and identify relevant threats to national security, which will allow us to participate in finding solutions to the problems of Russia’s socio-economic sovereignty.”

The plenary session focused on such recent issues as the prosecutor’s role in protecting the state’s property interests, professional legal representation as an element of economy sovereignization, personal bankruptcy, and others. The audience and speakers included representatives of government, business, science, public organizations, and students.
The conference will continue throughout the day in four thematic sections:
The event’s participants taking part in the discussions span the entire country, with experts from Moscow, Novosibirsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Sevastopol, Irkutsk, Barnaul, Magadan, Petrozavodsk, Chelyabinsk, and other cities.
