The second round of Olympiad in Glavbukh accounting reference system was held at USUE

Ural State University of Economics hosted the second round of the All-Russia Olympiad among university students on the Glavbukh accounting reference system. Three USUE students took part in the competition.

All-Russia Olympiad on the BBS GlavBukh accounting reference system is held annually. This time, more than 100 universities of Russia simultaneously take part in it. Currently, the II round has already started, which was entered by three students from each university. Representatives of USUE, UrFU, and Nizhny Tagil branch of UrFU met at USUE.

Violeta Matveeva, associate professor at the Department of Accounting and Auditing, tells that the level of complexity is very high, so it would be a point of honor to win.

"We are holding this Olympiad not for the first time and its aim is to beef up knowledge and practical skills gained. The participants are senior students and these competitions are important for the increase of their proficiency enhancement," Violeta Matveeva commented.

The winners of three top places will receive annual scholarships.

We would like to note that the Department of Accounting and Auditing successfully implements the introduction of accounting information technologies and programs, including BSS Glavbukh.   Students use this system to conduct an independent study of lecture courses and intermediate testing in the field of bookkeeping, tax accounting, and reporting.
