The defense of dissertations was held at USUE

May 18 and 19, 2018 in the dissertation council D 212.287.02 (technical sciences) at Ural State University of Economics, two doctoral dissertations (Veronika Trikhina "Integrated method of developing specialized products for the correction of nutrition of people working  in harmful conditions" and  Olga Musina " Scientific and applied aspects of the targeted combination of raw materials in the production of polycomponent dairy products") and one candidate's thesis Alisa Romanova ("Using physical methods to increase the shelf life of chilled fish") were defended

The work of Romanova, a post-graduate student and USUE employee, was submitted for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences (Ph.D.) in specialty 05.18.15 - "Technology and Commodity Research of Functional and Special Purpose Foods and Catering". The scientific advisor was Natalia V. Tikhonova, doctor of technical sciences, professor of the USUE Department of Food Engineering. In her dissertation, Alisa Sergeevna presented a solution to the problem of studying the effect of physical methods of pretreatment of chilled fish exemplified by flaked ice of electro-activated water, high pressure, and ionizing radiation for its shelf life.

 The thesis of Veronika V. Trikhina was submitted for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences in specialty 05.18.15 - "Technology and Commodity Research of Functional and Special Purpose Foods and Catering". The scientific consultant was Larisa A. Mayurnikova, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor, the chair of the Department of Technology and Organization of Public Catering of Kemerovo State University.

 The thesis is devoted to the development of an integrated method for creating specialized products for the correction of rations of workers in metallurgical industries based on system elements: science - education - production - consumer.

The thesis of Olga Musina is submitted for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences in specialty 05.18.15 - "Technology and Commodity Research of Functional and Special Purpose Foods and Catering". The scientific consultant was Mikhail P. Shchetinin, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor, the chair of the Department of Food Technology of Altai State Technical University.

The thesis is devoted to the development of methodological bases for the targeted combination of dairy and grain raw materials, including an algorithm and a set of technical and technological solutions that allow producing polycomponent dairy products with specified properties and composition.
