Yekaterinburg will host the XIV Eurasian Economic Youth Forum from April 22 to April 26, 2024. The central platform will be Ural State University of Economics, where representatives of 114 countries will gather. Among them are international students, diplomats, rectors of universities in Russia and around the world, and the most famous experts in economics. The total number of applications is 17,098, and this is an absolute record for the entire period of the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum.

The theme of the XIV EEYF is “Russia-Eurasia-the World. Integration-Development-Perspective”. Its participants will discuss prospects for cooperation and route the future in real time and in various formats: public lectures, reports, discussions, congresses, ambassador meetings, competitions for defending research papers by students and young scientists.

“The interest in the forum is enormous. Within the first day after registration opened, over 900 persons submitted applications. And not only young people are registering; 72 diplomatic officials from all over the world have expressed their desire to participate. Besides, 55 rectors and vice-rectors of leading universities in the CIS countries confirmed their participation. 797 people applied as experts. 52 media representatives will take part in the media forum within the framework of EEYF,” USUE rector Yakov Silin emphasized.

Public lectures by foreign ambassadors are a new format for the event organized by Ural State University of Economics as part of the XIV Eurasian Economic Youth Forum. Official representatives of Mexico, Burkina Faso, Honduras, Yemen, Jordan and Burundi will introduce EEYF participants to the history of their countries and talk about the prospects for relations with Russia, including cooperation in science and education. There will be no language barrier as there will be translators servicing the meetings.

This year, EEYF will offer 50 competitions. As in previous years, there will be 6 congresses: Congress of Innovators, Congress of Management and Law, Congress of Economists and Financiers, Congress of Entrepreneurship and Engineering, Congress of Strategists, and Congress of Schoolchildren. 10 287 schoolchildren, students and young scientists will defend research papers and projects. Regional and national rounds of scientific competitions were held at 11 universities:: St. Petersburg State University of Economics, Western branch of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (Kaliningrad), Vladivostok State University, Belarusian State Economic University, Azerbaijan State Economic University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Kazakhstan), Almaty Technological University (Kazakhstan), M. Ryskulbekov Kyrgyz Economic University (Kyrgyzstan), Osh State University (Kyrgyzstan), Tajik National University (Tajikistan), and Tashkent State University of Economics (Uzbekistan).

The finals of the competitions, as well as the plenary session, the forum of diplomats, the forum of rectors and vice-rectors, the 2nd Media Forum, and public lectures will be arranged at the site of the organizer of the XIV EEYF, Ural State University of Economics, in Yekaterinburg.
