VEO of Russia expressed gratitude to USUE Rector Yakov Silin
President of the Ural Branch of the VEO of Russia, Rector of USUE, Doctor of Economics, Professor Yakov Silin was awarded an Honorary Diploma of the Free Economic Society (VEO) of Russia. They praised him for active personal participation in implementing socially significant projects, in particular - Eurasian Economic Youth Forum.
Yakov Petrovich Silin received the Honorary Diploma of the VEO of Russia for active personal participation in implementing socially significant projects and programs in socio-economic development of the Russian Federation, for a significant contribution to strengthening the economic potential of the Ural Federal District, for many years of fruitful work in the Free Economic Society of Russia, and significant success in managing the Ural branch of the VEO of Russia.
Yakov Silin has headed Ural State University of Economics for 7 years. Having become the chair of the EEYF organizing committee, Yakov Petrovich contribute to the active development of the forum. Under his command, the event became truly large-scale and significant.
Therefore, in 2022, despite the difficult political and economic situation in the world, over 6,000 students and young scientists from over 60 countries of the world and 70 regions of Russia took part in EEYF competitions. Some events within the forum took place at the Ekaterinburg-EXPO International Exhibition Center. Besides, for the first time, participants from neighboring countries and the north-western region of Russia could defend their projects and researches at the international sites of the XII EEYF in St. Petersburg, Bishkek (Republic of Kyrgyzstan), Minsk (Republic of Belarus), Baku (Azerbaijan), Astana (Republic of Kazakhstan), and Dushanbe (Republic of Tajikistan). Every year, representatives of government officials, diplomatic corps, business community, and experts in economics, jurisprudence and other areas take interest in the forum.
