Exhibition of nations was held at USUE

Today, at Ural State University of Economics , students from 15 countries showed their national attributes: holiday clothes and musical instruments, arts and crafts, books and customs. There was no way to do without national cuisines: Chinese naan, Turkmen bogurshak, Mexican torta- ahogada, Yakut aladi, Georgian sujuk, Mongolian buuz, Afghan nakhod - these dishes could be tasted at the cultural festival. Together with USUE students, students of Ural State Medical University, Ural Federal University, and other educational institutions danced lezghinka and listened to drumming.

Some special guests visited the exhibition, among them consuls of the CIS countries and representatives of people's diasporas. They became acquainted with the cultural heritage of each represented country and watched different performances.

The Rector of Ural State University of Economics Yakov Silin welcomed the participants and expressed hope for the expansion of the festival, "I want to draw your attention to the slogan of the festival -"Friendship without Borders ". It is nice if representatives of different nations gather in one place, greet each other, talk about their culture, traditions, and history, treat them with dishes of national cuisine. I am proud that they come to us to study, visit our forums and events, and share their historical wealth with each other." The Rector thanked participants of the festival and members of national diasporas for supporting the event. 

Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Yekaterinburg Boobek Salimjanov shared his impressions, "Thank you for the warm welcome. I am very glad to be present at such an event. We tried different dishes from different countries, they are all very tasty. I am impressed. I am very pleased to be here, to get to know you."

Acting Consul General of Azerbaijan in Yekaterinburg Ilgar Iskenderov encouraged students to make as many friends as possible, "It's really a holiday of friendship, great friendship. It is you, dear students, who have the power that could unite peoples, make the world cleaner, more beautiful and more wonderful. "
The exhibition was also attended by Chairman of the Sverdlovsk Society of Georgian culture "Rustaveli" Niko Kobaidze, Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Yekaterinburg Safar Safarov, and Chairman of the Sverdlovsk regional public organization Union of Uzbek Urals.

During several hours, national music and pleasant smell of dishes pervaded USUE. Students, teachers, and guests of the university learned more about the culture of people with whom they meet every day and made many new friends.
